The Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA) is a large mental health and intellectual disability advocacy group in Pennsylvania. CDR has participated in their annual conference for years, and we weren’t sure how this year was going to work out due to public health restrictions on large gatherings.
Well, RCPA responded with an innovative and fun virtual conference that was truly rewarding. Not only did the conference include high-quality presentations from leaders such as Chuck Ingoglia of the National Council or Dana Crawford (inventor of the Crawford Bias Reduction theory), but they also took advantage of innovations made possible due to a conference being completely virtual, such as conference-wide scavenger hunt, and interactives.
One cool example is this Q & A video interview below, of yours truly. Come to see my stunning good looks, but stay to hear the insights I offer on measuring outcomes in Pennsylvania’s community-based mental health treatment for children: Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS).
(By the way, to explain the joke at the end: RCPA typically holds its conference at Hershey Lodge, thus my reference to chocolate …😛).
